a little about me

Ever since 2011, I’ve been slowly working my way around the world.

I’ve worked a lot of jobs over the years, from telesales in Australia, to digital marketing consultant in the UK to butchers assistant in New Zealand. I was even a furniture removal man for a day, but the less said about that the better.

Over the years I’ve worked for major digital agencies across the UK on a range of SEO and online marketing campaigns in just about every sector imaginable.

These days I spend my time helping travel and tourism businesses with their digital marketing and writing epic travel content for publications across the web. Like this 7 Reasons Why New Zealand Should Be Your Next Travel Obsession post over on TravelDudes.

How Did This Blog Get Started?

I could give you the usual, standard travel blogging BS about how “I started this blog as a way to keep my friends and family updated on my travels” and how “I travel the world full time and want to show you how you can too”.

But that would be bull.

This blog is actually one big experiment, and you can read all about that right here.

All that aside though, one thing I genuinely do want to achieve with this blog is to show that it is possible to carve out a living working online. Easy? No. Absolutely not. But possible.

This blog is me, an ex digital marketing consultant, taking a run at the travel sector. My two passions, coming together.
